Order Fields Added
New Order Fields Added
We continue to add new capabilities to the Order Management screens and process. This week, we added several new Order fields and reorganized the order screens. These changes begin to position us with the ability to allow each reconditioner to have a unique set of custom order fields that only pertain to their company.
Changes:
- We logically grouped the fields to improve overall readability and usability.
Additions:
- Order Type - Now you can classify your orders into various order types. We can always add more types if needed. The valid types are:
- Helmet
- Helmet & Shoulder Pad
- Shoulder Pad
- Lacrosse
- Other - Priority - You can now prioritize your orders. (High, Medium, Low). Sometimes, we add "Urgent" as an option for those super hot orders. Let us know if you need that.
- Shoulder Pads - You can now track the number of shoulder pads that were written on the order, the number of pads received from the customer, and the number of pads returned to the customer.
- Bags - You can now track the number of bags you received from your customer and the number of bags you returned to your customer.
The bad news: With these additional fields, we realize we are overloading the Order Search screen with way too many columns to manage effectively.
The good news: We are actively testing some new capability that will allow you to select the fields you want, as well as arrange the columns the way you like them. This means you can have different formats and improve the way you use your information. In addition, we are going to add a feature called "Advance Search". This will allow you to create many different search screens (e.g. I want to have a screen that (1) shows all orders past due, (2) show me all orders by a specific salesperson or state, or (3) show all open orders that have shoulder pads). You will quickly recognize the value of this feature when you incorporate more workflow into your process, using the Helmet Tracker technology.
Here is a glimpse of what to expect:
Finally,
In the next big release, we will be implementing additional improvements to the Order Scan screen.
We still need to add the [+] button on the order add screen. We have not forgotten this request.
Stay tuned, we are starting to pick up some speed.
